Pep Bowl

Pep Bowl
Last class we went to Pep Bowl for playing bowling. It is located on 1200 South Broad Street. It was really fun. In the beginning, Ziyou couldn't play well but after played it more, he was getting better and better. Jihim always tricked jungwoo when Jungwoo was playing. They are so cute and funny! And April always did better at second round. Steve always super focus when he is playing ball. I don't know why I always have one more left. I think it was a really great time! I used to go bowling really often when my boyfriend was in America.

Compare my other bowling experience in America with this time, I think I feel a little bit surprised from this time. Fist, the location of Pep Bowl is an underground place, it's kind of basement. It's very different than the bowling place which I usually go. I usually go to Macdade Bowl which is not far from my place. Also, compare these two place, Pep Bowl is a small bowling place because there are only six lanes in Pep Bowl. I think there are over ten lanes in Macdade bowl.

However, I think Pep Bowl has very friendly touching screen for using and I love it! And the way of showing scores are different at these two places. One is also in touching screen, another one is appeared on TV screen.

Pep Bowl Macdade Bowl

There is a one more thing I like and I think it is cute is that I can see the balls are coming bake at Pep Bowl . I can't see my balls come back in Macdade Bowl because they use different system.

Anyway, bowling is one of my favorite entertainments and we just have to practice more and we can know how to play it well!

Angels Without Wings

This week I visited the exhibition"Angels Without Wings" at Rosenwald0-Wolf Gallery which at ground floor of Andersen hall. The reason why I went to this exhibition because it has a really interesting name! This exhibition has four different artists' artworks. They are John Lurie, Alicia Henry, Dan Asher and Adele Kubel.
John Lurie- American women have the right to bear arms (2009)

John Lurie- This is what I really call a message (2009)

For me, I think John Lurie's artworks left me a deep impression because his artworks say many messages. As we see the two pictures, we also can catch the message from their titles. Also, there is another piece I really like is Adele Kubel's six untitled paintings.

Adele Kubel- Six untitled paintings
I not only like the color of the works but also that they look stereoscopic. The color which the artist used gives me comfortable feeling. Also, I think those paintings are very nice to be good decorations for home. This exhibition is very interesting and it a very good chance to see four artists' works at once so it you have any chance, go to visit this exhibition!
This the link about this exhibition
If you have any interest, you can go to get the information.

Last wednesday, I went to Anderson Hall first floor to see one show. This show included paintings and 2D sculptures. I really like the sculpture, because these were some sculptures which made by human's face. I used to interest in one kind of face art which is types of facial makeup in Chinese operas. It used to instead of different personalities of character. so, I think sculptures also contained that meanings. I could find some expressions from those faces, like: happy, sad, thinking or something else. I was interesting in this show. I hope I can do more this kind of exhibitions.

Muder Museum

On my cultural class, we went to Murder Museum. It was on Spruce street and was not too far so I walked there. The building of Mutter Museum was look like a big church. Because I had much interests about human's body, everything I saw from the Mutter Museum was gorgeous. I sketched some of skars and bones. All my classmates told that some of it was very dirty and discousting, but I don't feel like them. By the way, visiting the Mutter Museum was very very fun and I wish to go again to have more

Last monday I went to Mutter Museum. It collected numerous physicians. That was my first time go to this kind of museum. When I saw begainning, I felt exsited about see some new museum, but, when I saw many skulls and corpses, I am shocked, I felt something scary to me.

But on the other hand, this museum was a very good place which can help people learn human's bone muscle and some diseases. I drew some skulls and portrait in this museum. I also believe it is a nice place to help art students to learn human structure.
